Welcome to WNY@Work!

 Our mission is to develop an ongoing positive dialogue about WNY in terms of jobs, collaboration with both non-profit and for-profit companies, government agencies, colleges and job seekers alike. While understanding the challenges of our local business climate as well as those of the broader national and world economies, we always strive to keep our dialogue inspiring, anecdotal, collaborative and solution-driven. We try to feature what is working and if it isn’t, we work toward solutions that make sense.

We use the three “R” model: 1) Re-think 2) Re-deploy and 2) Re-engineer when developing solutions to social and economic concerns like high unemployment and unprecedented job competition. We accomplish this by exploring the unique ways “business-smart” companies in Western New York thrive, researching and applying their models to create more success in the region.

We’ve found that energy is contagious – positive energy begets more positive energy, forward thinking and progress…and the opposite is also true – negative energy begets fear, social prejudice, and isolation. Therefore, the more we inspire people to become reinvested and excited about our region, the more we can enlist them in the growing movement to re-shape Buffalo as one of the greatest cities in our nation, not just living in the embers of yesteryear and history books of the Pan American Exposition - but glowing brightly as a  newly re-invented “City of Light”. We use our radio show as a vehicle for exploration of what has worked, is currently working, and is destined to work to make WNY a great place to live and prosper.
